We sat down with Shyanne Orvis, a trailblazing angler who has defied expectations and shattered stereotypes in the world of fly fishing as a passionate fishing guide and advocate for women in a traditionally male-dominated sport.

Growing up, Shyanne found solace in the Michigan woods, straying from traditional hobbies, however, it was the time spent fishing with her that sparked her deep-rooted passion for the sport. After taking a leap of faith after graduating high school & relocating to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado she discovered fly fishing and fell in love with its serene beauty. Overcoming the challenges of a difficult childhood, she found peace and healing on the rivers, solidifying her commitment to sharing this remarkable experience with others.

Now a professional angler & fishing guide based in the Roaring Fork Vally in Colorado, Shyanne considers the river her office; introducing people from around the world to the joy of fly fishing on Colorado's renowned Gold Medal rivers. As a female angler in a predominantly male industry, she has faced and conquered numerous obstacles, blazing a trail for future generations of women in fly fishing. Through her "Ladies On The Fly" clinics, she empowers women, children, and her community, inspiring them to embrace the sport. Her influence extends beyond her local area, as she organizes trips and events globally, encouraging aspiring anglers to pursue their passion.

Join us as we delve into Shyanne’s extraordinary story of resilience and determination. Prepare to be inspired by her unwavering pursuit of her dreams and her mission to make a lasting impact on the world .
